The Milnel Foundation

Conservation that shows up in the field.

We fund the veterinarians, biologists, and local teams protecting endangered wildlife around the world, from the mountain gorillas of Central Africa to the migrating whales and endemic seabirds of Bermuda.

01 Who we are

The Milnel Foundation exists to keep wildlife wild, and to make sure the people doing that work are never doing it alone.

We are a small foundation with a focused belief: that conservation succeeds when expertise meets the ground. We don't run campaigns from a distance. We fund frontline programs and partner directly with the scientists, vets, and communities who carry them out.

Every program we support is chosen for measurable impact and long-term stewardship. From great ape veterinary medicine to island ecosystem recovery, our work spans continents but shares one principle: show up, and stay.

02 Our work

Programs in the field

Each initiative is led by specialists and rooted in the place it serves. 2 of our active programs are below.

Rwanda, Uganda, DRC

Great Ape Veterinary Medicine

Mountain gorillas face threats no wild animal should: respiratory disease, snare injuries, shrinking habitat. We support field veterinary teams delivering hands-on medical care to wild gorilla families and monitoring populations that number only in the hundreds.

Bermuda, North Atlantic

Bermuda Wildlife Conservation

Bermuda's islands hold species found nowhere else on Earth. We support local conservationists protecting endemic seabirds, sea turtles, humpback whales, and the reefs that ring the archipelago.
